Rapid development of random-access documentary databases (DB) is
an essential aspect of dialogue information system design. A
system of file conversion adapted to a specific source, after a
while becomes inefficient because of modifications of document
files or addition of new files. The following solutions are
suggested: 1) improving the standardization of initial databases
(which is partially achieved by switching to the MECOF format);
and 2) using systems of analysis of the initial databases and
transmitting information on recent additions or modifications in
the initial files to the end users. The conversion system (such as
SPD or SKOF) should then the adjusted to such ongoing reports.
